Cos. Play House started off as a lingering idea, like many other small businesses. After Alexises attended her first convention in 2022 with her husband, a thought lingered in her mind and she started keeping notes and expanding this idea, to the point where she wanted to go further with it. To get more research in the potential of this idea, Alexises decided to pursue a degree in Entreptenuership to help make it a reality.

This idea was Cos.Play House.

Currently, Cos. Play House is working to sell cosplay making materials at affordable prices, sourcing materials locally through yard sales and thrift stores, and online through wholesalers and private sellers. We are also working to vend at local Makers Markets and Artist Alleys/Vendors Halls at conventions around the Eau Claire area.

In the future, Cos. Play House hopes to open a brick and mortar location in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, that works as half retail space and half makerspace.

“We want to one day become a physical store you can trade your old unused fabrics and equipment for someone else's unused materials and equipment, or find extra accessories just perfect to finish your costumes. We want to become a place where cosplayers can meet up outside of just a few specific convention weekends a year.”
